I just wish you cared
I just wish you wanted me
All those times I fell down
Where were you to comfort me?

I just want to be loved
I just want to be looked after
Taking trips to the park
And times full of laughter

Why didn't you care for me?
The childhood you made me forget
Is still inside of me waiting
The one you made me regret

Why didn't you want me?
I tried to be good
And do everything to please you
Like a daughter should

Why didn't you love me?
Like other father do
Instead of spending all your time
Just caring about you

Why didn't you look after me?
I didn't ask for a lot
I just wanted you to be my dad
But look what I've got

    Understated but poignant and emotional. Terribly sad that you are facing that; I wish so many people did not face such lack of caring from parents.

    i really like your poems... i've read a couple of them since i saw your comment on my poem... and i really understand where you're coming from with these... they show ture emotion and feeling... that's what makes a good poem and not just a poem... good job... lots of emotion and feeling... keep up the good work!
