Little Glass Box!

by *tanya*   Mar 14, 2005

I lock up the little glass box, the one that holds my wish.
Wrap it in a silky red ribbon, and seal it with a kiss.
Next it goes in tissue paper, to ensure that it won't break.
Might even add some bubble wrap, and let's not forget the sticky tape.
Now its ready for the postage box, which reads 'fragile - this way up'
Sealed, addressed and stamped, I guess it's ready enough.
Not it begins it's journey, one long and tedious day.
Bound, squashed, knocked and occasionally dropped along the way.
Finally it is sorted, and delivered straight to your door.
Inside is something special, of this you can be sure.
You take it out of the box, and unwrap it really slow.
You untie the silky red ribbon, soon you will know.
Inside is a piece of paper, small but determinedly strong.
You unfold it, now it won't be long.
Black ink swims into view, as though it's finally free.
You begin to make out words, and this is what it reads:
"Sealed within this box you'll find, nothing but my heart.
This invisible thread I've sent, so that we may never part.
All I can do is pray, that you won't let it break.
Because even if you're gone forever, I'll still wait.
My wish is now complete, I can thank the powers above.
You literally own my heart now, and I can start sending you ALL my love."

That was nice. I liked how the words flowed, and the little box with the ribbon meant so much. Its really sweet,
and just goes to show, love comes in the littlest things.
