In The Life Of Me!

Rocking back and forth,
as the darkness eats away.
Feel all hope slipping,
as silently you pray.

Monsters lurch out of nowhere,
to clutch and tear your skin.
Should you close your eyes now,
you know you'll let them win.

Voices in your head cry,
"You will never escape."
The same voices wail,
"Fight til the last breath you take."

But the last breath draws nearer,
your God ignored your plea.
Finally you know what it's like,
to be in the life of me.
