The Day My Life Would End

by Hannah   Mar 15, 2005

I kissed my mom goodbye
I gave dad a hug
I walked out side
It was autumn day
Quiet & Full of peace
As I walked to my car
I watched the sun dance on the red and orange leaves as they quietly fell to the ground
There seemed to be Happiness all arround

It was going to be a great day
That night I was going to go with My friends to a school play

I got in my car
Turned on the heat
I pulled out the driveway
Drove down the street
A man had been drinking
That morning at the bar
As I turned
He didn't see me coming
He suddenly lost control of his car
He hit me head on
By the time the police got there
I was already gone

I flew up high
Into the sky
I began hearing a group of people sing
I saw a man
Who looked richer than any other
king
His words were so tender
His throne full of splendor
He looked at me with the kindest eyes
And said "follow me" to my surprise

He took my hand and held it tight
And told me everything would be alright

He held me close in his embrace
And said I was covered by His grace

He took me into a narrow hall
And showed me some shelves on a Wall

I pulled out a small white file
Some things I read made me cry while others made me smile

Over each one that showed My shame
This amazing king had written his name
He blotted out all the bad
With the richest red
That on a cross He once shed

He said that I was His own
And forever I would live with Him
And worship at His throne

**Please let me know what you think-it would be much appreciated-thanks**
