Your heart of stone

by David   Mar 16, 2005

You played with my mind,
Drove me insane,
With your toxic lies,
What is there to gain?

Did you think it would work?
Did you think you could fool me?
I’m not that weak,
You just can’t see.

I see you standing there,
With that poisonous smile,
I want to take it away from you,
Make you unhappy as well, if just for a while.

I’ll rip out your heart,
Tear it in two,
You caused me pain,
I’ll make you feel it too.

Why did you do this to me?
I’m loosing my sanity,
Losing my mind,
My grip on reality.

Is it ‘cos you don’t have a heart,
Is that why you play this heartless game?
You try to make it seem it’s my fault,
When you’re the one to blame.

How could you do this to me?
Make me feel this hatred?
It’s not meant to be like this,
Love’s meant to be sacred.

I can’t see you anymore,
There’s just too much tension,
You’ll be doomed all your life,
You’re beyond redemption

Your love cut me deep,
Right down to my heart,
I want to sort this out,
But I don’t know where to start.

The wounds turn to hate,
The hate turns to sin,
The sin is piercing,
It pierces my skin.

Your hearts made of stone,
It’s turned my heart black,
Don’t try to apologise,
I don’t want you back.

I’m over you now,
I want to forget,
Get rid of the memories,
Banish the regret.

I’ll get on with my life,
While I watch you suffer,
You thought you had hurt me,
It just made me tougher.

You’re going to feel pain,
You’re heart will burn,
In the fire of despair
I’ll make you learn.

You can’t play with other people’s minds,
I’ll show you the way,
The way to do the world a favour,
The way to make your life decay.

You’ll be unable to love,
Trapped by your thoughts,
You’ll wish you’d never started this,
In your conscious I’ll haunt.
