I gave you

by natashat   Mar 17, 2005

I gave you my heart,
You ripped it in two,
You made me think that you cared,
You made me think that I loved you,
I gave you my innocence,
You took it without a care,
I was young and naive,
It just wasn't fair,
I gave you my love,
You took it for granted,
Now you want my heart,
But you can't have it,
I gave you my laughter,
And told you my fears,
But it didn't help at all,
Because all you showed me were tears,

I gave you my heart,
You tore it in half,
You took my smile,
My dreams and my laugh,
I gave you my innocence,
But it didn't help much,
Now you want me back,
Haven't I suffered enough,
I gave you my love,
But you pushed it aside,
You never cared,
You weren't there when I cried,
I gave you my laughter,
You pushed it away,
You showed me depression,
I'll never be okay,

I gave you my heart,
You left it bruised and battered,
You took away my hopes,
And left my dreams shattered,
I gave you my innocence,
It meant nothing to you,
Then you left me broken and alone,
How can you be so cruel,
I gave you my love,
You gave nothing back,
I would have done anything.
To get you back,
I gave you my laughter,
You turned it to tears,
Loving you,
Is the gateway to my fears!
