The clouds do rain

by Timothy   Mar 17, 2005

1st Verse:
You say to me, life is bad, it's the same shit, new day,
The kids don't respect you, and the husband doesn't listen to a word you say;
You're getting older, and there's a whole lot more gray,
It's a sad song bayed out so much, that it will no longer play.

Chorus:
(sang loud) Every moment your alive, you should rejoice,
Every breath you take in, you should release with a strong voice;
(sang soft) You can't let despair weight you down, sister... (fade)
Even though the grayness is blocking the sun...there's no pain,
Because you got to see through to the beauty, when the clouds do rain!
(clouds do rain---clouds do rain)

2nd verse:
You say to me, life is bad, it's just an old rerun,
School is hard, the teachers have you under the gun;
Drugs and alcohol make it easier, but less like a real son,
Pitying yourself in this way, the darkness has already won.

Repeat chorus:
(sang loud) Every moment you're alive, you should rejoice,
Every breath you take in, you should release with a strong voice;
(sang soft) You can't let despair weight you down, brother... (fade)
Even though the grayness is blocking the sun...there's no pain,
Because you got to see through to the beauty, when the clouds so rain!
(clouds do rain---clouds do rain---soaking wet, see through to the beauty, when the clouds do rain!)

Extended chorus:
(sang loudest of all) It's not impossible, if you really try,
Stare unbiased into that formidable sky;
Raise your hands high, do not abstain,
And wash away that negativity...when the clouds do rain!
