I'm Like the Rain

by Carlee Ann   Mar 18, 2005

I'm looking out at the rain
And thinking how much we're alike
The thunder is pumping through my every vein
My inner lighting burns and strikes

I'm like the rain drops
You never know when I'm coming down
I'm like the rain that never stops
Slow and steady before I hit the ground

When my sky turns cloudy, be ready for a storm
I'll refresh and replenish every soul
I might look lonely and forlorn
But I know you in your whole

I can drip or I can pour
I can light up your sky
I'm something you just can't ignore
No matter how hard you try

I'm like the rain clouds
Full and darkening steady
I'm like the rain, falling loud
I have and will replenish many.

I'm like the rain.
I'm something you cannot train.
