A Poem About You

by JJ   Mar 18, 2005

Since you left, I've been thinking about you
I've been doing that a lot lately
so I decided to write a poem for you
But I didn't know where to start at...

I thought about your smile
The way it made you shine
How it attracted one's heart
I began to write awhile

Then I recalled your life
They way you are now and were before
How you've grown and matured
You've come a long way and strived

I remembered your kind heart
How you could never say no
Putting others before yourself
You always gave and never took back

I thought about your personality
That special way you have
How you can make anyone smile
You were always hard to resist

I admired you courage and strength
You made it through some hard times
How nothing seemed impossible to you
Just taking on one day at a time

I thought about your dreams
They seemed so distant
so far beyond your reach
But yet you had faith and believed

I thought about you as my friend
You've always been there for me
To lend a hand, to help me stand
How you've never failed me once

...I thought of so many things
But then I realized that no poem
could ever describe who you are.
I'll miss you dear friend
