Where has the Peace Gone?

Look at the world
Can you see all the pain I see?
War and hate and death
Is that all there will ever be?

Women raped daily
Children starving, no clean water to drink
Murderers, shooting, killing
It kind of makes you think

What happened to all the peace?
Where did it all go?
Why can't we all just help eachother?
Why is it so hard to do so?

Why can't we all be equal?
Must we always fight?
Can't we just get along?
May peace be with the soldiers tonight

I don't understand
Why people are daily beat
Depressed, suicidal, abused
Why they hang their shoulders in defeat

Where is all the love?
Has it simply disappeared?
Why must we all sin and not believe
When will the good in the world appear?

We have to face this mess
We have to start sharing
The love, the peace, the Word
All the world needs is caring.
