Stuck In A Dream

by Pianist   Mar 19, 2005

I once had a dream of a far off land.
The island was perfect, layered with sand.
The hills where lush and bursting with green.
Covered in flowers that I'd never seen.
The ocean was strong, and worked in one flow.
The sky and wind had their gifts to bestow.
The living where gentle, they all got along.
Nothing disrupted the tune of their song.
Then as I dreamt a cloud filled the sky.
My peaceful dream had all been a lie.
The hills wilted, the flowers turned black.
The ocean once strong began to drawback.
The sand blew away and left dry dirt.
The living had quit their graceful concert.
There I was left, remaining to scream.
And to this day, I'm stuck here to dream.

I've definitely been in a situation like that...and your comment is very true about only being stuck because we choose to be. You are extremely intelligent...and mysterious too...but mostly intriguing...
