Back in the day

She Tell's her story
Of how her life used to be
When she was three

She Tell's of her family
And what it was like
Not to have t.v
And not own a bike

When Your favorite toy
Was a needle and thread
When kids actually cared
That there great grandma was dead

When married couples
Actually stayed together
When kids walked to school
in -50 degree weather

Through out the day
All they would eat
Is a sandwich for lunch
A pair was a treat

She told about
How people were
they were all so happy
Suicide did not occur

Kids were nice
People were treated fair
No one cared
About your style of hair

A pop cost a quarter
A chocolate cost a dime
Things have changed
through out time

Now she says
With much disgust
The world has changed
And its unjust

The world is different
Why can't people be
Just how life was
When I was 3
