An Empty Life

I walk on a road of shattered dreams
My heart slowly breaks at the sound of the screams
I call out for help but nobody hears
There is no one here to fight off my fears

A path of suffering lies on ahead
With no sighn of life, its deserted and dead
Thorns and prickles pierce my skin
I'm alone in a world of hatred and sin

Crystalline tears start to roll down my face
But still i keep up a steady pace
Along the road that has no end
In desperation i cry for a friend

Ive made the decisions that i think are right
So why is it me who has battles to fight?
A voice inside tells me not to loose heart
So i break the barriers that stop me apart

I try to go on but my strength has departed
The time has come to end what i started
With one last breathe i fall to the floor
Knowing tears will fall from my eyes no more

    That was my favorite part of the poem. Very powerful and meaningful. I love it a lot. I see a lot of talent. Keep it up.
