Yellow

by Godslil1   Mar 22, 2005

Cheerful sunrises are the sure sign of a new beginning
Quiet, soft chirps of young birds in the distance
Drip, splash, plop
The warm sunny showers slowly splashed upon the sun burnt summer grasses
Suddenly the rain stops and the sun peeks out from the clouds
The sweet dew from the freshly bloomed flowers falls to the ground
The waves roll over sandy beaches that burn your feet
Yellow is the suns warmth hitting your back on a cool summers day
Yellow is joy on the saddest hour
Yellow is the wonderful fragrance of you running through a field of daisies
Yellow is the light that shines from above
Yellow is knowing you’re loved
Yellow gold that the rich will have and the poor shall never attain
Precious…precious is the confidence they’ve gained
Plants of tall golden wheat soars over the country side
Yellow ribbons pinned to the trees in hopes the return of a loved one
Feeling calm and still like a lake’s waters at twilight
Then you see the sun set on that cool crisp day
And there’s happiness in every nook and cranny
