Where is the song, once sung?
Where is the safety in which we lived,
Where has respect and decency gone,
Where?

Where are the children, once safe,
Where is the happiness?
Where has the truth gone,
Where are all the promises, once kept,
Where?

Where has the innocence of the world gone,
Where have our hearts gone, where?
Where have the fair tales of old gone,
Where has love gone,
Where?
