The Last Teardrop

by Phoenix   Mar 25, 2005

Hello, Is it really you?
Its been along time
Well yes I miss you to
a vacation, why yes I'd like that.
This time will be different
I said,stepping on the plane
He must love me
he sent for me after all
I remember the first tear
that you left on my eye
You said"I don't love you"
and I didn't ask why?
The second tear was lonely
so it needed a friend Another goodbye, another end
I promised you wont get me again.
The years they have passed
lovers and friends did to
But they never touched my heart
I was saving it for you
So here we are inches apart
neither of us like strangers
The years they didn't matter
Its like you were never gone.
I ask"why did he bring me here?"
so many silent questions
The confusion endless
I'm spinning around and around.
Days pass, no explanations
is my heart supposed to forget
Then it happens,we kiss
and my butterflies are awakened.
Then out comes those gripping words, just wanna be friends.
I set myself up for your trap
The trip was the bait, you were the hook.
I am back on my plane
when suddenly it happens
The last teardrop breaks free
and i can finally say goodbye.
