EMPTY SOUL

Loneliness haunts me,
Emptiness fills my soul
Looking for someone,
Someone to make me whole

Is there such a person
Destined to be with you?
Every thought, every feeling,
He knows you through and through

Or is it all a myth?
Something everyone wish to seek
To find that Prince Charming,
To sweep you of your feet

Can you find such a person,
Who loves you for all you are?
Who can understand and see you
The same as from afar

Knowing each time you're with him,
Is his intentions really true
Or is he just acting
The way he feels you want him to

Afraid of getting hurt again,
Yet wanting to find love for real
You let down your guard
And once more open your heart to steal

Is this the right thing to do?
Is he really the one?
I have to find out;
I can't just quite and run

I'm so doubtful this time,
So scared of what could be
All I want is to let my heart go
And just be me

I know it won't be love,
As much as I wish it would
I've lost part of me,
And to find I doubt I ever could

Maybe someday there'll be someone
