Depression

by Jenny   Mar 27, 2005

I have a disease, one that has no cure,
It’s called depression, one that I adore.
It’s a disease that constantly has you in pain,
It’s a disease that will make you think you’re going insane.
This disease is the reason why I want to die,
Depression is the reason why I always cry.
Depression…why I’m always feeling down,
Why I am always wearing a frown.
Depression will never be one of my fears,
For I have had it way too many years.
I have lost my heart and my feelings because of this disease,
Don’t get fooled because depression always feeds.
It gets even worse everyday,
But it still won’t ever go away.
Just when you think your about to have fun,
The game of depression has just begun.
Black is the color that describes how I feel,
Black is the only color I consider to be real.
Depression is basically black,
Because it’s always hiding behind you back.
Like a deadly creature that sneaks up from behind,
You can’t see it but you can hear its warning sign.
Depression will always get through to your head,
That’s why half the people who have had it wound up dead.
