Learn to see

Sometimes it’s hard to imagine
How hard life can be
On some of those around us

Sometimes we don’t seem to realize
How many friends need our help
Even when they don’t ask for it

Sometimes we see a smile on their faces
And we assume that everything’s fine
When in fact everything is just wrong

We have to learn to see further
To see behind the fake smiles
To see the truth
Even if they don’t want us to see it
Only when we manage to do this
Can we really call our selves
Real and thru friends.
