Still trying to make it work...

You are upset and I can understand because for a split second you were in my shoes
Wondering where I might be coming home when I choose

This is how I fell when I’m home alone with our son
You coming home after you have done had all your fun

We can spend the rest of lives trying to figure out who’s wrong
Or we can continue our journey and stop dwelling on the past that long

I’m willing to try a different approach
Maybe someone else needs to step in and play the coach

I believe that you are more than the man of my dreams
Even after all the bulls**t, arguing, lies and screams

The nights wondering where, what and who you are doing
Losing myself, my thoughts and feeling ruin

I wonder why after everything I want to still be with you
I fell appalled with the though of a touch from someone new

It is hard to believe that you respect or even love me
How you act you seem like you would rather be free

If you really love me take a second and really think about what I am saying
Think of what we have and what you want and begin to start weighting

Start to think hard and see if you are willing to compromise
Because what we could be anyone would consider a prize

If one day we separate and go our different ways
There is a huge place in my heart that you will forever stay

Besides your friendship you have given me the greatest gift and it cannot be replaced
Our son, and I’m reminded of my love for you every time I see his face
