Rebound Girl

by Liz   Mar 29, 2005

He's in pain.
His heart is bleeding.
She broke his heart and said we're threw.
He's so confused, he doesn't know what to do.
Then you came along and said hi.
Before you, he thought he might die.
You showed him how to laugh.
You showed him how to smile.
You showed him how and what a girl should make him feel.
Yet you're just his rebound girl.
He says you're this, he says you're that.
He says you're perfect, but is it just an act?
He knows just what to say, to make you stay.
But you're just his rebound girl.
He says he's lucky to have found you.
You say it'll be lucky if he doesn't break your heart.
He's looking at you, but thinking of her.
You know you're his rebound girl.
He likes you, and you like him.
But you're just his rebound girl.
He says you go together so well.
He says that you complete him, you're his other half.
But what he doesn't know is that you've gone for so long being just a half, that you know when you're just a rebound girl.
He says he cares for you and you know this to be true.
but when his heart is for another, you know this just won't do.
Yeah, you're just his rebound girl.
