Someday

by AllHailTheHeartbreaker   Mar 30, 2005

He watches quietly
From the corner of the locker bay
She smiles and laughs with her friends
He'll get the courage to talk to her - someday.

She notices him watching
But doesn't know what to say
So she pretends not to see him
She hopes he'll talk to her - someday.

In between classes
They pass in the hallway
Acting like they don't notice the other
Maybe they will - someday.

He tries not to watch her in class
She tries not to look his way
They both are nervous and distracted
One of them might break the ice - someday.

They'll finally get there chance
Now that her boyfriend's gone away
When the moment is right
They'll be together at last - someday.

~Dedicated to Jake, who finally got his chance...~

*No, the girl is NOT just switching from guy to guy. She didn't want to break up with her boyfriend for no reason when she wasn't even sure if this other guy she liked truly liked her back. Then when her former boyfriend's temper got out of control they broke up.

The poem was based off of real people's experiences, so there's more than just a sweet story behind this.
