A thousand doors

by cant sleep   Mar 30, 2005

A thousand doors or more ago,
I knew we were in love.
It was then I thought that you were it,
The one from above.

But somewhere in the doors it hid,
Deception lies inside,
I told you everything I thought,
In you I could confide.

A thousand doors or more ago,
I guess I was Naive,
You put a load upon my back,
A load I could not heave.

I guess I was too blind to see,
The lies that you thought up.
Through everything you put me through,
I followed like a pup.

A thousand door or more ago,
I wasn't standing here,
In fact this love that I called ours,
To me, it wasnt clear

So now I guess I’ll let you go,
I’ll just find someone new.
Although I really know the truth,
There really isn’t anyone like you.

A thousand doors or more ago,
I thought our love was true,
I thought I was the one who’d changed,
But in fact, the change was you.
