Valediction: Part I

by Caleb   Mar 31, 2005

Do I take the dirt road with an obscure ending
Or do I take the familiar paved road: one holding the utmost comfort and supremacy?

Pressure: a technique to maim all calmness
As of late, it's all I experience and all I know
Countless times I trusted you
I let you mingle with the resentful foe.

You allowed the plague to console your lungs
And you devoured the elegance of our kiss
Yet still, I soothe the wounds that bleed
And embrace the torment that conceals all bliss

I declare the poverty of harmless converse...
