One Drink

by Caitlyn   Mar 31, 2005

His arms were big enough to fit in
His heart was warm enough to find comfort
His eyes had gleamed with love
If he hadn't taken that one drink
He wouldn't have left me
If he'd known who he'd leave behind
It was that mistake that made him cross the line
I am without anyone
And I fear I won't love again
For my heart has been broken
And won't ever mend
If he hadn't taken the one drink
It wouldn't have been him
He knew that is was wrong
And it could take him no where
Except into deaths arms
But he was so into the party
He had forgotten who he loved
My love, how he could have stopped
Without that one drink
