Tonight My Death

by Momentary Relapse   Mar 31, 2005

Intent upon my new goal
I decide to end my life
Too tired to keep living
I am picking up the knife

My cold metal friend never fails
I smile in weary relief
Tonight I am going to die
Or so that is my belief

Caressing my old friend
Feeling the familiar grip
I hold it closer to my body
From reality I begin to slip

I am going to finally die
My life has been wasted
Good byes I will never utter
Nor a note will be pasted

I slice my flesh deeply
The blood begins to pour
I suddenly realize my mistake
Remembering those I will see no more

I will make my enemies delighted
They will celebrate my defeat
Stopping the flowing blood
I return to reality which I gladly greet

this poem is much better than you think! some of the rhymes are a little forced ut most of it is natural and pure. youve used strong imagery and its full of emotion! (im sorry if i freak u out by commentin on ALL your poems but so far they all seem really good and DEFINATLY worth commentin on)
