Once in a lifetime

by April   Apr 1, 2005

You see him there look
up and can't help but smile.
It all starts with just a hi, you
start talking and hours pass by.
Soon your on the dance floor
and inseparable.
Is it the moonlight or the
gravitational pull.
It doesn't matter you don't care.
At the moment you'd follow him
anywhere.
The nights full of laughter and
longing smiles.
It seems impossible you have to say goodbye.
Right now your not worried it's all fun and games.
When you leave will he remember your name.
It's funny how life's this way.
You meet someone and their taken away.
But it's the weekend and your only going with the moment.
You know for a fact it will be a night you'll never forget.
The nights almost over it feels like it just began.
You wonder to yourself, will I ever see him again.
This moment in life you'll always miss.
But before you left you got a goodnight kiss.
Here's to the weekend a night of fun.
A memory to store with all the other ones.
