Shadows of the Stars

by Lipton   Apr 4, 2005

Staring up to Heaven,
The stars, their songs will raise,
Of shattered dreams, and love,
Of requiem and praise.
Their tears rain down up on us,
The mourning that they see,
The stormy clouds that overcast,
The world and all there be.

Suspended within the skies,
They're taken from our eyes,
Look forward, through beyond,
Past infinity, dream on...
Their essence on the wind,
Their presence in our minds.
Believe in all you are,
Or you'll be caught in the Shadows of the Stars.

Though perfect in their light,
And perfect in their form,
Their Holy declaration,
Is shrouded by the storm.
The storm, it overwhelms,
We're left here in the night,
Locked within this Hell,
Forsaken of the light.

Suspended within the skies,
They're taken from our eyes,
Look forward, through beyond,
Past infinity, dream on...
Their essence on the wind,
Their presence in our minds.
Believe in all you are,
Or you'll be caught in the Shadows of the Stars.

The stars in all their glory,
Can't break through this upheaval,
Pleading to their subjects,
The time has come for renewal.

Suspended within our hearts,
Their light will never depart.
Believe in all you see,
Having broken through infinity...
They're no longer shining.
Still, their light is blinding,
When all you have is your heart,
The Shadows will depart...
