Dealing With A Player

by Ann Stareyes   Apr 4, 2005

Words from a broken heart,
That has to be spoken,
You've played with my emotions,
And my heart you've now broken.

Why did you waltz into my life
And pretend to care for me?
Why did you build up my hopes
And make me believe?

Why for years did you make me
The center of your world?
Made me believe you loved me
And I was truly your girl.

I guess you're just a player
That has those good looks and charm,
You really tricked me
Every time you held me in your arms.

I did have some wonderful moments
That I will surely treasure,
The memories will live with me,
Now and for-ever.

But now Romeo the game is over,
I'm no longer your toy
I thought someday you'd grow up,
And quit acting like a little boy.
