Broken Angel

Why can't you move on
and say you like me instead?
Why isn't the anger she causes
getting to your head?

i've liked you for so long
and the feelings just won't fade
so now i am left searching
for the memories we never made

i just want you to be happy,
no longer begging for her touch
yet you continue to pursue her
even though she hurts you so much

so please, just let her go
she doesn't see you like i do
and you need to take a look
at what you are putting yourself through

i know you think you love her
and it is possible you do
but you should venture out
and try chasing someone new

she doesn't treat you like she should
i know she never shows you love
and maybe she just can't see
that you're a broken angel from above
