Save me too

*Not sure if this is in the right category*

i want to save you and take away your sorrow
i want to make you see there's a better tomorrow

i want to hold you and make everything alright
i want to help you make it through each night

the thought of you sitting there drunk and alone
and putting holes in the wall with punches you've thrown

listening to sad songs that make you feel like shit
and knowing that i can do nothing to fix it

it breaks my heart and makes me want to cry
but i have to be strong and hold my head up high

because i know you need someone who will be there for you
and never back away no matter what you're going through

someone has to be there to lift you up and give you hope
to guide you through the darkness toward the light at which you grope

i want to be the person who shoves depression out of sight
who helps you be victorious in this seemingly endless fight

i want to save you, and i hope you know it's true
but know that every now and then i need you to save me too

*The lines "i want to save you" and "i need you to save me too" are from "I Want To Save You" by Something Corporate. Yeah so... the ending doesn't really match the rest of the poem and it's a pretty weak poem anyway, but i really wanted to write and this is what i came up with. i hope you liked it at least a little!
