I hold you in my dreams so close, longing for you
As I touch your face, stroking it so gently and slow
So close to me and yet so far in reality
As the dream the moment I am close enough, it go's

Sweating with anticipation, my imaginary partner so near
Butterflies inside me, sick with this excitement
I see you there, your face, smiling, and I smile back
Being filled with love, with pure delightment

Is there next to me, holding my hand
Staring into the her eyes like pools of mystery
At last we share our feelings, now she understands

No judgement from her as she sees my scars

As she runs her fingers, so soft, along my skin
At last I am able to truly feel

As I pull her into me, so close, her breath on mine
I feel so alive, so truly happy, as we finally kiss
My mind on fire, confusion flooding through me
Replacing this darkness inside with utter bliss

As I groan and pull away, my hand grasping hers
The real me at last pulls through, destroying the fake
Shivers run through me, my heart pounding
Until that awful moment, when I awake.....
