Raevahn

The lonesome raven calls for a soul to listen,
Reaching out, blindly searching in the dark.
For a soul who shares its pain,
Who bears miseries mark.

All alone, his lonesome call goes unheard,
Into the dark it fades.
Soon forgotten completely, as if he never were,
Pain consumes him as his tears cascade.

A broken heart behind a pitch black cover,
I sit looking up at him.
As mine slowly breaks too,
I let a tear slip, knowing just how he feels.

Both our souls have been shattered,
And no love to repair them.
Our tears go unnoticed as we cry,
And still we cry, wishing everything was just a dream.

And still we cry as we slowly start slipping,
Into the darkness where our souls may rest.
