The pain is only temporary

They say that the pain is only temporary...
but to me it seems to last a life time,

The screaming...
The shouts of rage...
The blade... pressing through my skin.

It all leaves scars and causing the pain,
Though not all scars are visible,
I can still feel the pain,
The memories still haunt my mind,
Bottled up inside for the longest time,
Just yearning to come out...

But nothing ever comes out,
the pain just gets worse,
and soon,
before anyone realizes...
I'm gone.

    you are right, pain itself is temporary, but what's bihind it, lasts far longer than that
