The Greatest Men

Two of the greatest men I ever knew
They've gone from me, away they flew
Off to heaven, a very special place
Somewhere where they will never again face
The daily rigors of life

They passed away twelve years apart
But the pain of both still lies deep within my heart
For there is this feeling
That is helping and healing
And that's the knowledge they are both at peace

I know someday I will see both again
That there will be a time when
We get to say all the things left unsaid
We will be together and never part
But, until then, they shall remain forever in my heart
