When the Steal Met Flesh

by Rhinehalt   Aug 26, 2003

When the steal met flesh,
When the heart stopped beating,
When the pale skin turned red,
The last wall fell.

When hands of hope shook with fear,
Blades of red fell to the earth.

When the tears of long ago fell once more,
When the open wounds bleed,
When the hurt was to mush,
The angel fell from grace.

When eyes ain't needed to see,
The cry tells everything.

When the wind danced alone,
When the rain caused no cold,
When the night held no peace,
The stars in the eyes of an angel vanished.
