Essence of Death

by Eden   Apr 9, 2005

Never seen and never know what death is.
We feel it. We sense it in our minds like monsters in the abyss.
Dark wings that cloud our eyes from truths unknown.
It breathes us like we draw poison from our bodies.
Death in peace…
Peaceful death if there is such a thing.
For me I know there is not, only silent mourning in my soul against those who I know.
My skin is cold now.
Let me be. I wish to be alone when I die,
For it’s all there is.
There’s nothing left in this dismal life.
My purpose is everything but seen.
So let me be, parasite.
I no longer need your sympathy.
Let me be, gone forever,
For I will leave you all the happier.
