The Boy With A Gun

by Darren   Apr 9, 2005

Alone in the world he was
With no one to hold onto
Brandishing black metal
Pointing it right at you

He found the world unbearable
Finally, he snapped
The walk he took so long
Inside his head, he was trapped

Like the Angel of Death, he came
Step by step, no turning back
Round after round he shot
Wanting the control he lacked

In the time he was there
Many left to see Heaven and Hell
Until he took his own life
Smiling as he fell

We call him a monster
Yet we fail to see
He was a young man with pain
Pain so bad, he had to flee

Now we understand
The kind boy who he had been
Is gone
Off to see his kin

*This is dedicated to all the poor souls who are involved in school shootings.*
