My Father

by Darren   May 20, 2006

Why have they gone away
My father among these men
All for oil
And will he die for them

I miss him every day
Knowing he is there
I hear of deaths every day
Is this truly fair

Maybe without this man
I\'ll learn of something
Because he was sent home in a box
And I was given his ring

It is hard to know
That he will never come back
I have my father no more
An explanation I lack

One man sits at the head of this
That is who I blame
Waving away the deaths
Soaking in the fame

Was his death worth it
To put gas in my car
I\'ll leave now
And travel with my friends far
