Stranger in the mirror

by Danimal   Apr 10, 2005

Today I prefer the company of a stranger
The stranger doesn’t understand my plea
I’ve lost who I was
Can’t remember who I’m trying to be

He takes an interest in my life
This stranger is kind
I know he feels my strife
But will he leave me behind

I tell him the usual
My life in a shell
I sugar coat the truth
Though my life’s a living hell

My hand begins to shiver
I am fearing the end
I’m looking in the mirror
Staring back at what used to be my friend.

I really liked that poem, and the idea behind it, I loved the lines..
    'I tell him the usual
    My life in a shell
    I sugar coat the truth
Though my life’s a living hell'
I really enjoyed them, keep it up xxx
