Broken

A silent poet, uncovered lies,
A broken promise brings tears to my eyes.
Forgotten dreams, secret desires,
Anger burning just like fire,
A hidden face, deceiving mind,
Loves an illusion trust is blind.
A child's heart exposed and torn,
Watch the sunset and wait for the dawn.
Crushed and hurt, judged and tried,
Once accepted, twice denied.
A brave face entrusted with lives, your only ever there to see me when i smile.
Forget my face, believe i tried,
Hold me when i need you and remember that i cried.
I pray for silence and wish I could fly,
Even if I wanted to I couldn't say goodbye.
Clouded judgment, forbidden thoughts,
Give into temptation and never get caught.

A tortured witness still wants to hide.
