Enigmatic Angel

by Eden   Apr 12, 2005

I struggle daily to understand the Light. And you are still anathema to me. I am a black rainbow shining forth while you, an earthly being, shine your outline of white so bright. I am half and half...I do not even understand myself!

Anyone who could understand me would not know me. My darkness inevitable; my Light indiscernible...And I understand you not. Even though your earthly body sags in wrinkles of a draining hourglass, your soul shines to the shadows, making them fade and turn to white.

Trials have turned you pure; no darkness to see now. You are lost to me, yet I find an unexplainable attraction to thee. In some ways, you are like me...But those days are fading now, for where there was a fork in the travels of our map of destiny, I choose the left whre you chose the right.

My road is easy to travel, and I wear no shoes so that I can enjoy the lush grasses and clovers. Your way is barren with thorns and rocks and yet you still travel with no shoes.

You shine, saying that your feet are bare because you tread upon purity...Yet I see pure pain; agony at the very least.

When your feet bleed you shine, saying it is a blessing. When thorns block your way, you shine even moreso than when you pray. Even when you do nothing, you shine...and I comprehend you not.

I find I am both curious and disdainful of your life...It is the two within me that makes it this way. I see life for what it is. You see life for what it sould be. That is the difference between us.

We will forever be apart.
