Your Silence

by Jorge   Apr 12, 2005

I swear
the moment I saw you today
was as if a train hit me
as if my world collapsed
as if every emotion I have was crumpled into one

I only took a quick glance
and saw you standing
baby, that was more than enough that I needed
to get me through the day

The silence kills me
as I sit here looking at pictures
how we used to be
how you were the doll to my house
the pig to my pen
the gatekeeper to my heart

Now
It's all gone
you won't say a word to me
you won't even give me a stare

All that once was
is now gone

our friendship
our affection
our stares
our smiles
our laughs

all gone

You don't know
how you complete me girl

You don't know
how a part of me tumbles down like a rock off a cliff
for every hour you go without speaking to me

I'd rather hear it now
hear you slap me across the face
hear you tell me how much you hate me
any of that babe
let me hear anything but
Your silence
