I have a friend
who feels my pain
who knows what its like
to be left in the rain
her friends are leaving her
one by one
the things she used to love
just don't seem as fun
her phone doesn't ring
at all anymore
and no knocks can be heard
coming from her door
she hears the same words
every day at school
"fat" "ugly" "annoying"
"unpopular" "uncool"
they snicker and laugh
as the venomous words drip from their lips
"go get a life!"
and "loose the fat on your hips!"
she races home to cry
and weep in her bed
as horrible thoughts
scream in her head
she gets up from her deep
puddle of tears
wipes off the smile
she uses to fool her peers
she grabs the blade
and begins to slice
the knife is cool
and it feels so nice
the cutting gets rid
of her internal pain
of feeling horribly ugly
and getting called names
but the bullies laugh more
at the scars on her wrists
now shes not sad
just incredibly pissed
she doesn't no what to do
she cant find her way
she doesn't want to go through
anymore terrible days
she hides in her room
writing notes to her few friends
telling them why
her life she must end
she grabs the pills
she bought at the store
she swallows them all
till there aren't anymore
the next thing she knows
shes lying in a bed
with wires in her skin
and an ache in her head
no one is there
to make sure she's alright
no one worries
as they sleep into the night
but i am in the room
with my dying friend
afraid that her life
soon may end
tears run down her cheeks
as she peers into a mirror
but her reflection i don't see
only mine filled with fear
