These Feelings

by Ann Stareyes   Apr 14, 2005

Sometimes depression touches us all,
A difficult time in our life,
A true moment of weakness
That we truly don't like to recall.

We feel like our life is worthless,
With all the grief and pain,
Everything gets on our nerves,
And things truly aren't the same.

We feel so unloved,
And the emotions run so deep,
All our strength disappears,
And all we can do is weep.

The tears flow like rain,
And the sadness lives within,
Truly a rough road in life,
For us to travel and live in.

where would we be without feelings, they keep us on the road in an even keel, even when we feel like we have been abandoned in life, when I get those lonely feelings, I remember this "no man is an Island unto himself" it seems to help, but there is another saying i like just as well, never have I been so down and out, that if I look hard enough, I can find someone that is worse off then me. keep up the good work Ann you write wonderfully your friend Harry
