Hope

Hope is the game the children play on you in the night,
the trickery haunts your mind,
always making you believe in something you know will never happen.

It yearns to control you...
to keep you consumed...
and sometimes,
you just wish you could see a glimpse of what you hope...

But you know it's all a lie...
a lie from within...
holding you back...
breaking your promises...
never letting you live your life...

No matter how long or how hard you
try..
you must always remember...
that...
HOPE... is just a game that the children play in the night.

    My personal favourite of yours - I love the imagery of hope being a game that children play in the night - now that is a powerful statement xx

    its a really good poem and i like how you depict the idea of 'Hope'

    However,you can take out the '....' in the poems, and try to neaten it up abit by writing euwal syllable counts.

    Great poem though. i really enjoyed reading it but just a minor improvement here and there will make it into a much greater poem.
