You Gave Me Tomorrow

by Kayleigh Hogg   Apr 15, 2005

We cannot choose our parents
We cannot choose our life
Everyday i thank God
That Dad chose you as his wife

You were young when i was born
And i know it must have been tough
But you always made sure i had the best
No amount of love was ever enough

Then you gave me a brother
So i wasn't all alone
Someone to share my troubles with
Very close now we have grown

When i was 10 and anthony was born
i was happy as can be
Another brother for me to love
A completion of our family

I know you were destroyed when Dad left
Very hard times, but i'll always care
I know you thought we favoured him
And still, you were always there

I know i owe you so much more
But its time for me to say
Thank you for yesterday, tomorrow
And thank you for today.
