Even when I’ve had the worst day
You mange to make me forget
My troubles disappear into the night air
My fake smile becomes real
Tears of sorrow are replaced
With tears of joy and happiness
All because of you
I know we haven’t known each other long
Not even a week has passed
But it feels like we’ve been friends for a life time
I was so relieved when you weren’t scared off
By my depression and dark thoughts
Instead you’ve shown me love and affection
Something which I’ve longed for
You light up my life
And you give me another reason to live
But now I’ve gone and hurt you
You must understand I never meant to
If it seemed like I was pushing you away
It’s only because I’m afraid of being hurt
But I’m just as afraid of hurting you
This is why I may seem hesitant
But I do care for you; you mean so much to me
I want to give you what you want
But inside I’m just a scared little girl…
