Courage

by Jenny Sys   Apr 19, 2005

A breathe a sigh of relief,
To know the worst is done,
I did the hardest thing,
And the courage... A tonne.

I did the impossible,
And asked you for a drink,
You said that you would come,
You said it in a blink.

It takes so much,
Just to talk to you,
But to ask you to do something,
It showed you wanted to.

So now I must hope and prey,
Because I have done it now,
I really hope you turn up,
If you don't, there won't be a row.

I took all my courage,
And bundled it all up,
Just to ask you to my party,
So you didn't think I'd suck.

I wanted to ask you,
Before I asked all my friends,
But I took the time,
And a broken heart to mend.

I had a broken heart,
Thinking nothing would ever come,
From such a wonderful person,
But now it's been said and done.

I ask you please turn up,
I really want to spend my day,
In the arms of the perfect guy,
Perfect in every way.
