She has not gone, she will never go

by Switchblade89   Apr 20, 2005

As I sit here growing older and older,
I still feel her hand upon my shoulder,
she may be gone but her presence lingers,
I can almost see her here, with my eyes under my fingers,
(She has not gone, she will never go)

The moments are dull, without her here,
even though shes gone,I have nothing to fear,
shes in my soul, heart and mind,
she can never go,she is a one of a kind,
(She has not gone, she will never go)

She may not speak but her voice I can hear,
it may not be real, but to me it's clear,
her touch is soft, even if not real,
and even in my mind,it's something I can feel,
(She has not gone, she will never go)

As I sit here growing older and older,
I still feel her hand upon my shoulder,
in my mind and soul,we're together,
and it's nice to know she will be here forever,
(Because she has not gone, she will never go)

Dear Norma your gone, but your spirits still here,
thats the thought we will always hold dear,

Dedicated to my aunt Norma who passed away at 36.

So sad, but beautifully written. The flow was flawless and I love the repeat of "(She has not gone, she will never go)" at the end of each stanza. Excellent and touching write!

The way you let your feelings flow through that poem is fantastic, you are right, mourn a loss but you must get on with life because they will always be with you, read soldier if you like, you dont have to comment or anything but it has a similar perspective near the end..
